How to backup only PureDisk configuration

Hello,

I want to backup only the puredisk configuration.

I notice that the PD_DR backup script backup the /Storage/data which represent a large amount of data ...

Or how can I export the PD configuration only ( Worflows, client ID, policies, etc ...) ?

Thanks for any help

  • Run a SPARR workflow...StoragePoolAuthorityReplication. Assumes your replicating to another SPA. It's in the manuals. You can also run a DR bkup of PD...if you only want the config stuff but not the actual backed-up data, simply fill in the path field in the DR policy with /bin/true....that will prevent backing up backed-up data. What it will back up in this configuration is the CA db, config files, vxat and ldap.

  • Are you able to provide a screen dump of what you mean by "fill in the path field in the DR policy with /bin/true...."?  I am trying to do a DR backup of our PureDisk environment directly to NetBackup, but don't want to back up the backups.  Thanks!
