Puredisk 6.6.1.2 Error: 4: Backup PO: object : unable to locate the object

We are running Puredisk 6.6.1.2. We have 1 agent that is failing with Unable to locate object. It logs this error for each file on this server.

The backup have been working up until about 1 month ago. We receive the error in job step 3, Scan and Store the Contents on the content Routers.

Error: 4: Backup PO: object : D:\\Data\\Lab\\Meeker \\Meeker TCD.rpt  unable to locate the object

Folder::_findFirst(): [0] <16> DBG - FS_FindFirstObj() Failure! (0xE0008488:Access is denied.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

  • Hi John

    Check the actual Object, Does it still exist? Check the security permissions on the actual file to confirm someone hasnt locked it down for what ever reason. Ensure SYSTEM (Or whatever account used to backup the files) can still access the object. If the file doesnt exist, create a dummy file , rerun the backup and then try delete it again after that.

  • Hi,

    We had a similiar issue. After reboot the problem disappeared. It was connected with snapshotting issues (low disk space?).

    In case it does not help: re-create the data selection. [Disable the old one and either apply the data selection template or create new with the same contents.]
