about 7.6 beta test

Hi everybody,

I want to backup SQL Server 2012 which is installed on the Server 2012. Therefore, we will try 7.6 beta. I will set up a test environment. Can i configure a windows master server as a media server at the same time? I dont want to use to many machines. Is it possible.

Backup and Recovery
NetBackup
Windows Server (2003-2008)

    You can configure storage unit on master server and use as media server, of cource.

    Yes.  Techincally a master server is automatically a media and client as well.  ( you can see it listed in all 3 host properties )  As long as you have devices attached ( for tape backups ) or have avaible disk space ( for disk backups ) you are good to go.
