AdvancedDisk with SAN
I'm trying to set up an AdvancedDisk with three media servers, all Sun T2000, Solaris 10. The disk space will come from a SAN and will be mounted as ZFS file systems. My storage guy (who is also my boss :-) isn't seeing how ZFS file systems can be shared with the three media servers. Has someone done this and confirm what needs to be done, please? Does he just present the SAN disks to each machine and then they are mounted as the same file system so AdvancedDisk can see them and take care of what ever kind of sharing needs done? We are at NetBackup 7.5.0.4

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH158427AdvancedDisk Sharing is more commonly done using NFS, however NFS storage does not officially support GRT.
For block level file systems, you must use a Clustered File System such as VxFS and CXFS.
ZFS is not a clustered file system and therefore cannot be mounted by different hosts for concurrent read/write; ZFS would not work with AdvancedDisk Sharing. With a clustered file system, the requirements and setup are the same as when using NFS: Mount points must be the same; must be manual mount points, etc.
