we have setup an AIR to a remote site. Is there a way to see how much data needs to be replicated or how much data is left on the primary site? With "nbstlutil report" I can only see the total amount of data without dedup,....

If you are looking for the amount of data that needs to be sent (optimized duplication data), then there is no such report. You can estimate based on expected deduplication rates etc. but that is about as good as you will get.
Remember part of the answer lies with what data already exists at the target - so if the target storage server is already well seeded with like data your AIR duplication will not have to send as much data as for a first backup.
