Backing up Netback Policies to a network share

Is there any supported way of exporting my policies from one master server to and import them into another master server?

  • Hi. You can tar/zip to network share the following path of master server:

    /usr/openv/netbackup/db/class/

But I'm not sure about special info like VMWare policies.

You can try an easy test:

    - Make a copy of some policies with special features (deactivate these copies)

    - Do the above procedure but only over the subdir with copied policy name

    - Remove copied policy from backup console

    - Restore tar/zip of copied policy on original path

    - Refresh policy list in backup console and verify if all attributes are present.

    Regards
