I am reviewing BMR admin guide and looks like there is no way to perform P2V into Hyper-V - only VMWARE is being supported, is my understanding correct?

I have never used NetBackup P2V, but I think you are right.
However, there is no P2V for Hyper-V. So, if you need to use NetBackup for P2V, you must rely on BMR entirely.

I do not see why you can not do a BMR restore a physical system to HyperV.
There is no automatic P2V function like VMware but BMR procedure will work fine

I wanted to avoid boot media creation and all these 'fancy' things. I think P2V does not require boot server, it will just read the backup and convert it on the fly to the working VM at the end, right?
