Can we enable multiplexing for backups that are taken directly onto disk

HI

Can we enable multiplexing in policy attribute for backups that are taken directly on to disk ..??As we have enbaled compression attribute in policy window,backups are running very much slower,can setting multiplexing overcome this problem.

Is multiplexing set only for tape drives...??

    Short answer "No".

    Multiplexing is only available for tape drives with linear access. Disk provide random access, in order to increase throughput simply increase then number of concurrent backup stream written to disk.
