Capacity based licenseing in NetBackup
Hi All,
We have entitled with Capacity Based licenses for one organisation.
How this capacity based license works?
how to get the details of this license ? i need to find out how much TB license is procured from symantec?
I dont have any idea about capacity based license.
If you do not know how many TB you are entitled to the speak with Symantec licensing and get set up on the licensing portal to manage your licenses:

Somewhere you should also have a pdf of the license which tells you what you have and your customer number.
Your Symantec reseller (whoever you bought it from) should also be able to help here - ask them via e-mail for an Install Base Report for NetBackup
Once you know the TB you are licensed for then this relates to a single full backup of everything that you back up - so Front End means how much data out there do you back up in a single backup - doesn't matter how many backup you take or what type - just the total of everything backed up once.
There is a tool built into NetBackup named nbdeployutil which can help you calculate this value - google it for more details
