Celerra NDMP using VBB

Does anyone have experience doing NDMP backups on a Celerra using VBB?

I can get TAR and DUMP backups to work but the file systems are full of millions of small images so the performance is still at best 25MB/sec. When I try VBB and have it automatically create a snapshot to use for the backup but I get severity 0 errors on the celerra when the snapshot is both created and deleted.

Any ideas?
