I installed successfully Netbackup server master and i have this error message when i try to start the administration console: The host Netbackup_Master does not have host-ID based security certificate installed. The certificate is mandatory to establish connection.
Please help!
It seem your installation is incomplete. Bydefault with 8.1.2 install a certificate gets issueed/created on master.
Check command output from master and post it here if possible
netbackup/bin/nbcertcmd -displayCACertDetails
netbackup/bin/nbcertcmd -ping
netbackup/bin/nbcertcmd -hostselfcheck
netbackup/bin/bpclntcmd -pn -verbose
My suggestion is... if any of above commands are not working for you then go ahead and do a clean uninstall and attempt installation again and after install... make sure above commands work for you.
What OS is your master server on?
Was this server previously an NBU master, or is this a completely new setup?
Do you see nbwmc running when you run bpps -x?
Is this a clustered master?
If possible, a reinstall would be the best solution. The troubleshooting steps vary depending on the answer to the above questions.
