change a netbackup client name

How can I change a Windows or Linux Netbackup Client name?????????

    Hi,
    Simply change the name on the server. 
    Then on windows you can to a modify in add/remove programs to change client namesetting or start the backup /archive / restore app on the windows client and change the name under client file - client properties.

    Linux change the name in bp.conf file.
    client = new client name

    remember to change client name(s) in the policy on master server as well.

    Hi,

    If your Master Server Name has changed from A to B and upgraded/Installed on a new server from Ver X to Y. But your clients are still on Ver X. Then how you will point your old clients to New Master Server.
