client <hostname> peer name <hostname> is invalid for list request

Good day

I am trying to perform a client restore of a backup onto a different server.  In the debug log of the master server I receive the following:

16:56:53.477 [2112.4168] <2> get_type_of_client_list_restore: db_getCLIENT() failed: no entity was found (227)

16:56:53.492 [2112.4168] <2> get_type_of_client_list_restore: db_getCLIENT_by_hostname() failed: no entity was found (227)

I have looked at a number of tech articles in this regard, 34985, 28327, 20718.  I am specifying the short name of the server in my client config.  I have also entered the short name of the server in the master server hosts file, but no luck.  Not sure why it is referring to it by the fully qualified name in the log.

Some articles also mention creation a file in c:\program files\veritas\netbackup\db\altnames.  My Windows Netbackup server does not have a altnames folder.  Should I create one? What do I put in this folder?

Thanks

Wilhelm
