  • You need to verify reverse lookup on the client.

Best way to verify (in case NAT'ing is done by the firewall) is to create bpcd log folder on the client.

The log will tell us which IP address is received from the server during a connection request.
Next, the client needs to be able to resolve this IP address to a hostname.
This resolved IP address must be present in the SERVER list on the client (registry entry on Windows client, bp.conf on Unix/Linux client)

Reverse lookup is done at OS level - either DNS or local hosts file on the client.

    Hope this helps.

  • You have to check your firewall roles, must have permission to the Master and Media Server to communicate with the DMZ and the DMZ with them.

Another think is use the IP to do backup, or put in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts the ip and hostname from machine in DMZ do you want to backup. config the hosts files in all DMZ servers you want to do backup, including the Master and Media Server, for precaution.

  • Thanks for the help  i have solved, i am chekeck, follow his instruccions

  • Glad its working!
