Configuring NetBackup Vault within a deduplication environment

Hello, 

following technote states: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO36283

"Configure Vault duplication only if you use NetBackup Vault to duplicate the images. Configure Vault in the deduplication environment that performs your normal backups. Do not configure it in the environment that contains the copies".

Is there some Netbackup Guy ( or Girl) that can explain in simple words why it is so. We used to offload to tape from a secondary copy that was stored on a secondary deduplication pool (offsite). It seams that the local media server is vaulting to tape and not the remote.

    Maily is talking about ejects, you cannot eject from disk, if you are replicating to deduplicated environment you need to duplicate from the second location to tape and configure vault to eject this tapes in your remote location.
