DDBoost over FC

Hi All,

Has anyone played with DBBoost Over FC?

I have NBU 7.5.0.6 with DD670 running DDOS 5.4.0.8 and  DDBoost plugin 2.6.2.0-410681

I follow the instructions on to configure it per as the EMC White paper  No: h7296 and DDboost 2.6 Admin along with the DDOS 5.4 CLI guides

The configuration on both sides ( DD and ) looks fine however I see no backups activites going thru the FC path when I run the following commands on the DD box.

# ddboost fc show stats interval 5 count 10

  • You wont see that statement in the job. That is reserved for SAN Client backups which this isn't. The FT transport here only relates to how the data gets from the media server to the DD, not from the client to the DD.

  • And also when I check the backups jobs go thru FC

in "Activity Monitor"> selecting the job > "Detailed Status", checking if "Opening Fibre Transport connection" statement does not appears.

  • This one for Data Domain forum in the EMC support site.

EMC have recently revamped their support website they now have included a Data Domain forum.
