Dell ML6000 and AUTO_UPDATE_ROBOT not working consistently

I'm fighting an issue with a Dell ML6000 tape library with the AUTO_UPDATE_ROBOT flag set. It has worked a couple times but nothing consistent. Is there anyone who has gotten this to work? System background: NBU 6.5.5 (problem has existed on 6.5.3 and 6.5.4) 1 Master / multiple media servers Library controled by a media server NOT Master. Another media server connected to IBM 3584 works fine. (Same master) All Server OSes are 2003 x64 SP2. Libraries are not partitioned past the system and user partitions. (I've wondered about this, but can't get rid of the user partition...)

  • At this point I'm starting to think a SCSI Analyzer might not be a bad idea... :/
My suspicion is that the "System" and "User" partitions are screwing it up, but I can't find anything on how to eliminate one or the other.  The Library creates the System partition and makes you create the user partition before you can use it...
