      hi Kak4_12

With the given information I can't really help you more.

I can just say, that those temporary files doesn't look like Netbackup activity, but more local scripting.

You may also want to look in other users cron job and not only root. Take a look in  /var/spool/cron

If on Linux, use the journalctl to see if cron job activity is logged. It could also be a systemd triggered event. Help info : https://documentation.suse.com/sle-micro/6.0/html/Micro-systemd-working-with-timers/index.html

And last the the nbauditreport command may also provide a hint.

  • That looks like to be a local written script gathering info from Netbackup

Are the .out files text files ?
