Do I need new Netbackup License with EMC DD3300

Question

We are currently at 7.6.0.3, but we are licensed to run up to version 8.1 for net backup, as well as the SQL Agent. Due to performance with the current Tape Library, we get DD3300. Below is the license features we currently have. Do we need new license with DD3300? DD3300 has the DD Boost included.

To use the DD you need one of the following combinationsOn component/legacy licensing model you'll need the deduplication add-on oryou need to be on per TB platform licenseor maybe even the virtual enterprise client license which is per socket

Thanks. So if I am going to keep the current existing license, and use your option 1 as the option, am I good to use DD3300 as a mounting point for backup? or do I need to add extra license to use the DD3300?

Please do not use the DD as a mount point.
You will miss out on all the great features of DDBoost with OST plugin.

You should also upgrade your NBU version as a matter of urgency as NBU 7.6.x ran out of support more than a year ago.

The Licensing Guides and EULAs spell out this is a requirement for any target device capable of deduplication.&nbsp;Best regards, AndrewPS: I also see there is a new "Product Use Rights Document" for NetBackup that contains additional terms and conditions to the&nbsp;Veritas Software License Agreement
