DSSU SLP duplications queue following NBU7.5 upgrade

I would try a nbstlutil inactive lifecyclename followed by the same with the active switch to see if they kick back into life (give them 10 minutes)

Check that the upgrade has not removed you SIZE and NUMBER DATA_BUFFERS files (I would be surprise if it has but who knows!?)

The upgrade did not change the BUFFERS file settings and it's rather odd how some jobs (to the same DSSU) have retained their previous rates while others have not.

As far as the nbstlutil inactive/active switches, that appears to have made no difference. I've cancelled the duplications for a job and expired all of the related images and am running a full for test (however, I did test a totally virgin backup with just 1 level of dupe between DSSU which didn't work either).

Have you opened up a SLP to make sure that it is still classed as valid?

NBU 7.5 checks that now - just in case it has detected an issue

#edit# things like "Any Available" are no longer permitted as a destination

Yep, all appear valid. Media server SLPs, that are not attached to DSSU, continue to operate normally.

I am confused a little now - you say DSSU (disk staging storage unit) and SLP (Storage Lifecycle Policy)

But a DSSU is basic disk and can not appear in a SLP

Please clarify exactly what you have here - I was assuming you meant an Advanced Disk Pool?

Have you definately double click each SLP and opened it up to ensure you do not get any messages?

I meant OpenStorage (Datadomain) disk pool. Our first level of SLP backs-up to a primary Datadomain, then replicates to a second (offsite) Datadomain, and then to tape. The backups are in most cases functioning, following the 7.5 upgrade, to either Datadomain as the first level of the SLP. The duplicative step is not taking place or logging in any manner with those processes being noted as being:

Image <JOB> for Lifecycle <SLP> is IN_PROCESS
Copy to <DEVICE> of type DUPLICATE is NOT_STARTED

Just double checking again - have you double clicked you SLPs to ensure that no errors are then flagged?

OST plugins must be upgraded to 64 bit - update needed?

Correct. No errors being flagged in the SLP config. Plus backups run fine to either of the disk-pools, with the duplication stage not working in either direction. OST plugins are already 64-bit for the OS.
