Email Notification
hi,
we have windows 2008 R2 Master servers,with Netbackup version 7.1.0.4 and i would like to configure the Email notification for Catalog DR file and also vault ejects., i am aware of the locations where i need to specify the Email address, DR tab in cagalog policy and Reports tab in Vault profile.
but
could you please let me know how can i configure the SMPT servers info in the master servers, I am not sure where i can spefify the SMPT servers info to get the Emails from Catalog backup and Vault jobs..

Hi,
In the Netbackup admin guide, go through the part about setting up nbmail.cmd with BLAT.
Once you have the nbmail.cmd script fully configured and enabled (i.e., copy it from goodies\ to bin\), all the e-mail related features in the Netbackup GUI (and nbu scripts) will be effective.
Edit: You might also be interested in the mail_dr_info.cmd script, which is similar to nbmail.cmd, but more related to what you are looking for.But then again, nowadays I tend to just recommend people to use OpsCenter for Netbackup related e-mail alerts/notifications, and do away with all that script editing stuff. (... in most cases.)
