Here is what the restore script looks like:

Here's what I see in the 'mssql_backup_failures' log on NEW_DB_SERVER:

Any ideas of what we're doing wrong here?  I found this KB article but it doesn't seem to apply to us (we don't have a SQL backup network, nor are we using 6.5.4).

  • Have you configured the NetBackup Client on the target server, including its SQL login details, service account etc.

As you appear to be running this on the new server have you added the \netbackup\db\alnames\No.Restrictions

file on the Master server to allow this client to call another clients backups for restore?

  • No.Restrictions is already there.  When I try to go to File > Set SQL Server connection properties in the NetBackup MS SQL Client app it crashes the program (i.e. DBBACKUP EXE has stopped working).

  • Move to 7.1.0.3 on the SQL Client to address this issue with the crash:

(ET2412560)  The NetBackup 7.1 SQL Agent GUI crashes when attempting to set SQL server connection properties.
    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH160729

After setting the connection properties on the new server it should work fine.

  •

    STATUS 150
INFO Server Status:  termination requested by administrator

This means some one cancelled the backup from administration console / Killed the backup process
