Hi,

I am trying to upgrade  from netbackup 8.0 to 8.1.1 & upgradation failed with error 77.

  • You really need to provide more details - particularly the problem encountered and logged to the file /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/nbdb.

That said I suspect you will find a line similar to this "<16> run_sql_from_file: ErrMsg [Sybase][ODBC Driver][SQL Anywhere]Column 'userIdTag' in table 'ACTL_User_Details' cannot be NULL, ErrCode -1, Sqlstate 23000".

If so, then you will need to log a support case to obtain an EEB which I think will be related to Etrack 3941845.

If the above message isn't to be fouind in the log file, then show the contents (either an extract from the time the upgradea failed or the enteire log file as an attachment).
