Firewall port for ESX server

Question

Hi all,

I already have following documents stating port 902 is needed:

1) Netbackup Network Ports Reference Guide, and

2) Tech Article http://www.veritas.com/docs/000008025

Is there any article explicitly stating that the port needs to be opened bidirectional? Need for documentation purpose and could not find any.

More recent doc is NBU 7.7 Ports Ref Guide:

(There are also newer versions for 7.7.1 and  7.7.2)

See figure 3.3 on page 27.
The diagram shows biderectional connection on ports 902 and 443.
