Full Backup is taking too long time to complete

Hi,

A full backup is running since last monday and of course is taking a lot to complete.

Backup Selections are like this:

/media/nss/vol1/comun/folder1

.

.

.

/media/nss/vol1/comun/folder100

The policy storage is a data domian storage unit.

Follow NFS is checked

Cross mount points is unchecked

Client NBU is solaris 10

Master/media is win 2012 R2

After the job started I checked "use accelerator"

I´m having the same problem with some others solaris clients.

Other policies have backup selections like the one I mentioned

Does anyone have a suggestion about how to improve the performance?

  • Hi,

Selecting "Use Accelerator" after the job started does not apply. It has to be done before the job starts. So you'll have to run this job, and then it would be enabled on the next job, and then only on the 3rd time the job runs will you see the accelerator start to work. Accelerator needs one 1 full backup complete before it can start doing comparisons.

  • why don't you backup directly the data from the nfs server itself ?
