How can I set up to backup Openshift and Openstack ?

Hi everyone, I am currently using NetBackup 11. Recently, I have a task to backup 1 Openshift system and 1 Openstack system. However, I barely works with Openstack and Openshift, and I don't know where to start. I need to configure these sections on NetBackup as soon as possible.

Can anyone give me some advices about where to start please ?

For example:

  • What kind information I have to get from the Openshift and Openstack team to get this done ?
  • Do I need to set up on both side (NetBackup and the Openshift/Openstack side) or just NetBackup side ?

      Thank you so much quebek, I feel much less confused about that topic now.

      Btw, after checking again, the OpenStack system that I mentioned earlier is actually Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift 18.0. Have you ever backed up that type of deployment before ? If yes, could you share any recommendations or best pratices ?

        Hello

        Well I did help with setting this up a little bit from NBU end, but I am not looking after this setup on daily basis. I think what's count among other is that the Kubernetes NBU operator and NBU data mover should be on the same release as primary server. This is too wide topic to explain it here.
