- Stumpr2Level 6simply restart inetd and check tcp port to see that the client is listening
- dukbtrLevel 4To stop:
cd /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/goodies
either run bp.kill_all or netbackup stop
do a bpps -a to verify no processes/daemons are running
To start:
in /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/goodies
run netbackup start, once it returns to command prompt, do a bpps -a again, all should be back up - Casey_KingLevel 6I may be wrong here, but I do not believe "goodies" is available on a system that only has the client loaded.
- dukbtrLevel 4Ahh yes, my bad. I misread and didn't see he said client. But hey, at least I tried, right, lol.
- Casey_KingLevel 6I've made that mistake a time or 20 myself. Especially when I am getting frustrated with a client and I could only wish we had "goodies." but alas, no such luck. Kinda like the client I am struggling with now :)
- zippyLevel 6you dontClients are just waiting for the master to back it up.bbpcd is kicked of by the master.

The client service has to be running to accept connections.
to see if this is at least running you can use
ps -ef | grep bpcd
and
ps -ef | grep bpinetd
