How to change settings on multiple netbackup client?

Hello!

I have netbackup master (cluster) 7.5 on win2003 x64 and media 7.5 on win2003 x86 + 200 netbackup clients 7.5 (win 2003/2008 x64/x86)

Need change time out settings (increase) on client.  If i use adm.console - change setting very long.

 Have any idea?

  • Timeouts go on Servers - Master and Media servers.

If you need to change other parameters on Clients, I have found it best to select no more than 5 clients at a time.
The process takes a long time, because the master needs to connect to each client and request current settings from each one. If any of the clients are unavailable for any reason, the master will keep on trying for the duration of Client Connect Timeout.

  • Again - Client Connect and Client Read Timeout go on Servers, not clients.

None of those errors are related to timeouts.

Please start a new discussion to troubleshoot the backup errors.

  • Best option is to use Java Console. You can select atleast 25 clients in one shot and it will take 20 minutes to open the properties for all the client in a single window.

I find this is the best method.
