Hi

i can ping from the client when iam trying to load host properties gettting an error like cannot connect to socket how to solve this  in gui please reply me asap

  • you can not slove it in GUI... dont stick in that way...

    what is the netbackup and OS version in the client?

    are you able to do telnet to the client netbackup ports..

    show us the result of below command from master/media server

    telnet <clientname> 1556

    telnet <clientname> 13782

    telnet <clientname> 13724

    bptestbpcd -client <clientname> -verbose -debug

    if it is windows client check if netbackup client servcies is running or not..

    from client--> run-> services.msc.

    if netbackup client servcies is not running restart it and check the communicatin again..

  • Please confirm that client can resolve server's IP address to a hostname that appears in the client's SERVER list.

    Before you run the bptestbpcd command as suggested by Nagalla, first create bpcd log folder on the client under ...\netbackup\logs.
    Run bptestbpcd, then post output as well as client's bpcd log.
