  • Hi,

You cannot pull it from NetBackup, as you would have seen, it just says "additional clients" the actual amount would be listed on the license certificate. Same for NDMP Tier versions, NetBackup enterprise client tier versions, even netbackup server tier versions.

If you have all the licenses you can consolidate them to see what you've bought. Symantec will also have a records of this.

What you could investigage is the per terabyte or platform licensing model. It covers all options and features, all you have to tell symantec is how much data you're protecting (i.e. how much is on the clients). Much easier!!

  • Hi Riaan,

thanks for quickly answer .... I have read that perl script Xenon can read licenses from Netbackup and display it in obvious form.  /may be that this utility is renamed for now/....Some minutes ago I contacted Symantec for getting this.

I have more installations of Netbackup, in some case traditional platform licensing, in some case TB licensing.

    Petr

  • hi Petr

I also heard Xenon script saves alot timefor licensing review.. i'm also searching availability of that script but didn't get. I know it's renamed and i believe it's internal utility of symantec so mi8 be kept away from public.
