install cluster server error 2147417842

Hi

Install of cluster server stop and i found that error

ERROR: Code(-2147417842): getting parameter object: StdRegProv

Please support

    I don't understand why you say 'there is no link'. This URL is also mentioned in the list of requirements in NBU Installation Guide:
    https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000081350

    Please check user account requirements carefully. You need to get this right for installation to succeed.

    You can also use the pre-installation check utility to check requirements.

    In log it showing pbx having an issue "MSCS was not configured".  Could be two possibilities 1) pbx packages already installed 2) cluster not detected by NBU.

    1) pbx packages already :

    To fix:

    A) check if any pbx package installed if not change the  

    B) delete the folder if exist C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\Logs\user_ops

    2) cluster not detected by NBU:

    A) Make sure that cluster configuration page getting pop up during the installation.

    Error :

    You need to check install logs along with <install_path>\netbackup\logs\cluster on node where you have started installation. These logs will provide detail information on failure.

    Install only on one node at a time. Do not select both nodes during installation.

    Hello,

     

    The error is very (-2147417842) generic and the failure must have occurred before this error.

    Please share the install log located on the node. 

    Log Location:

    Default: <Install_path>/veritas/cluster/log

    You can also find the log location, in a third or fourth page of the installation wizard.

        What is this reference to Backup Exec?

        Deleting registry key: -2147483646, SOFTWARE\Symantec\Backup Exec For Windows\Backup Exec\Install\PushStatus

        Is BE installed on one or more nodes?

        Maybe we should take a step back and ask if you have read through NBU Installation Guide and Clustered Master server manual and if you have double checked and ensured that all pre-reqs are in place?
