Installing netbackup on linux to manage master server on windows

Hi, i have netbackup master server 8.1.1 running on windows, however being a linux admin i am looking to manage the master server from netbackup commands on linux ( it can be easilty scripted etc).

Do i need a license if i install this linux server as media server or there is some other solution to it

    Hey

    All depends on what licensing model you are on - if on traditional - than yes... If on FETB than no...

    I think with powershell you can do a lot of stuff on windows and NBU...

    Hi, a quick workaround to have unix like experience for ease of scripting,

    Installing mobaxterm which provides unix commands on windows 

    "Unix commands (bash, ls, cat, sed, grep, awk, rsync, ...) to Windows desktop, "
