Licensing DataDomain Storage Server for DDBOOST

Hi!

This is my first post here in Vox, I hope you can help me :)

What licenses are required to create a DataDomain Storage Server and use the DDBOOST protocol? 

I'm not sure if the licenses that we need is the Netbackup for NDMP option, Netbackup Data Protection Optimization (DPOO), both of them or something else, I can`t understand at all the difference between these options. 

In case we use CIFS instead DDBOOST is the license needed the same or we need another different?

    Hello

    If you're using legacy / component licenses you need the Netbackup Data Protection Optimization (DPOO) for as many TB's that you'll protect on the clients i.e. 1 full backup. If you're using platform licenses then it would be included by default.
