Looking installation steps for NETBACKUP 7.6.1 silently through Ansible on remote client

Looking installation steps NETBACKUP 7.6.1 silently on RHEL7 Linux servers.
Will use this solution to be pushed out to multiple Linux servers in the enterprise by Ansible automation through SSH remote push method.

Steps required for below

  • NPU client package file transfer
  • NPU client package unzip
  • NPU client install and configure
  • File configuration /usr/openv/netbackup/bp.conf

Thanks & Regards

I have moved your post to NetBackup forum for better visibility.

Not sure if you are aware that NBU 7.6.x reached EOSL a year ago?

NetBackup 8.1 is the latest version where Veritas has started testing deployment tools - we can only assume/hope that more tools will be tested in the near future.

Extract from NBU 8.1 Release Notes:

SCCM and Chef deployment tools and documentation now available
With the NetBackup 8.1 release, Veritas now supports the use of System Center
Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Chef for NetBackup deployment. Veritas has
tested and validated several different deployment paths. Documentation and
templates for both SCCM and Chef are available. See SORT for additional details
around the support and use of SCCM and Chef.
