Media Server Issue

Hi All,

My setup 6.5.5 Master/Media - Solaris 10.

In my environment under one media server all drives are going to AVR mode, I'am unable to bring it back using FORCE_RESTORE_MEDIASERVER.

No changes after has been done on the setup. If is there any another process Please give me resolvation.

Thanx!!!!!!

  • Troubleshooting for when Robotic Drives are going into AVR mode, and backups are halting with a pending mount request.

Any system error logs or job details that you could share that may provide further info?

Have you tried stopping & starting services on the media server or re-booting the media server?

  • More info about your environment please?

Is robot control on this media server on another media server? If another media server - verify PBX comms between this media server and robot control host.

Please add VERBOSE entry to /usr/openv/volmgr/vm.conf and restart NBU on this media server.

Media Manager messages will be logged in /var/adm/messages.

Please post output of 'bpps -x' on this media server.

PS: FORCE_RESTORE_MEDIASERVER is not related to drive status...
