    I have moved this discussion from General Veritas forum to NetBackup forum.

     

    Is the Windows 2003 master on 32-bit or 64-bit?

    Your NBU version on source master and destination master needs to be the same in order to migrate.

    32-bit Windows 2003 is only supported up to NBU 7.5. W2003 64-bit is supported up to NBU 7.6.

    Windows 2012 is only supported as from NetBackup 7.6.

    So, 64-bit W2003 master server can be upgraded to NBU 7.6.x, new W2012 server prepared with same hostname and NBU 7.6.x installed to same path as source server, and then use catalog backup and restore to migrate to new server.
