Moving Netbackup to different drive letter on another server

Hi All

I have netbackup 6.5.6 installed on D Drive on the original server . As a part of Hardware refresh , we want to move it to another server .

Now the issue is on the other server we only have C drive .

I know catalog Recovery to another drive letter is not supported , but is there any way we can have this done .

  • You will need a trained consultant to do that for you.

Or find the discontinued (no longer supported) TN 68160 in your internal knowledge base...

See Tech Note 68160 - Moving the Netbackup\db\images to a different path

    My advice:

PLEASE find an additional drive to install and recover NBU to D-drive.

If this drive runs out of space, it is as easy as mapping a new drive, stop NBU, copy contents to new drive, then remove old D-drive and map new drive to D.

You cannot do this with NBU on C-drive.
