Someone else asked this a few years back, and got a positive response, but no instructions.
I want to enable multiple retention levels per media, but only for a number of volume pools - I don't want to turn it on globally.
Can I do this, or is it ONLY a global setting? This is NBU 7.1.

I guess if you wanted to do that you would need to allow multiple retentions globally and then make sure that your policies, retentions and volume pools ensured that it could not actually happen anywhere else.
So have a 27_day_pool used for 27 day retention schedules etc. etc.
...that's a bit more trouble than I'm willing to go through....
