nbpemreq

nbpemreq -suspend_scheduling will susped all scheduling.. so that  there will not be new jobs comming and submitting to the nbjm...all active and queued jobs will run.. but no new scheduled jobs..

nbpemreq -resume_scheduling will bring nbpem to regural work after suspending... so that it can submit the jobs to nbjm....new jobs will comming in as per the schedule..

bprdreq -terminate .. will terminate the bprd process.. so that you can not start any restore , manual backups and user /client iniciated  jobs.. ..because bprd is the one who recives all this requests..

hope this helps..

This is from Nagallas OP

My Question is:

How to suspend active jobs, because we are plainning to restart the netbackup or Server, And I dont want all jobs to be cancelled,

and how to make them again active after restart

Nagallas OP sorry for the previous incomplete forum...

  • Suspend and Resume is only available if you have enabled 'Checkpoint Restart' in policy attributes of MS-Windows and Standard policies.

  • There are Suspend & Resume functions in the GUI but I have not seen them work as expected.  Unfortunately there is no real provision for active jobs; kill them and restart them manually.

  • Ah, makes sense why it doesn't usually work for me -- I think one policy has checkpoint selected.
