NBU 10.x direct backup to S3 storage
Happy new year everyone,
Has anyone tried NBU 10.x direct backup to S3-compatible object storage ? How is the backup / restoration performance ? what about dedupe ratio ?

Hello Stella,
Our S3 storage is not doing dedupe, so we are using MSDP-C to backup/copy data onto our on-prem S3 storage.
Backup/restore performance highly depend on your backend s3 storage performance as well as the network setup.
I cannot tell a lot about it as we don't store a lot that way, we mainly use MSDP on Flex.
I would definitively suggest the use of MSDP-C to get dedupe out of the backups.
