We have recreated a VMware environment on a single esx server from scratch. It has the same name, IP, etc. We are trying to reconnect the NBU server credentials to it, and it is failing. I triec bpclntcmd -clear_host_cache, but maybe I'm not on the right path... suggestions?
You said you recreated this VMware environment. Did you also add the account to VMWare you are trying to authenticate with? If you have, have you also verified the password hasn't expired/changed?
When you say you are trying to reconnect the NBU server credentials, what are you doing precisely? Are you removing and re-adding the backup host or adding vCenter / ESX credentials in the Virtual Machine servers section of Credentials?
I am re-adding the credentials in the vmware credentials section. We have left the policy the same.
