nbu backup to use one tape for a backup

Hi,

We are using nbu 7.6 for taking our db2 database backup. we have 2 drives in our tape library. When I run the backup, NBU uses two drives for taking the backup whic i dont want. I want only one tape should be used for a backup.  As tape is more spacious(1.2TB) than backp size(300GB). what needs to be changed can anyone help me out.

  • Or use these parameters when starting your DB2 job

    OPEN number SESSIONS

Specifies the number of concurrent data streams used for writing data. Use this option if you have multiple backup devices available, or you have multiplexing enabled in NetBackup.

  • try creating a storage unit with 1 tape drive and use that storage unit in this policy.
