NDMP client backup

Not directly related (?) but:

GENERAL ERROR: NetBackup Restore failing with "NBU status: 800, EMM status: The host is not defined in EMM"

may point you in the right direction!

 you have to configure the NDMP host.

NDMP Administration PDF might help.

When you execute nbemmcmd -listhost, does that display your NDMP host.

If not, have you configured the NDMP host with necessary drives.

After configuring the NDMP host you need to register it in netbackup EMM DB using nbemmcmd command.

what is the nbu version,

how's the ndmp host connected to backup device, is it directly connected or your trying to take a backup through a media server,

ex :    ndmp host -> tape,  ndmp host -> backup server -> tape
          
did you specify ndmp credentials on master server,
