Netapp Plugin for NBU 7.5

Is anyone using this?  I just downloaded the plugin but it has alot of confusing requirments that dont think we have setup.

I was under the impression that I just installed this on my master server and then viola i could control snapshots on the netapp.  But thats not what appears to be going on. 

I was just wondering if anyone successfuly has this setup and could offer very brief description of what is required to make this work.  Thanks.

    "The lack of documentation was possibly because this is new in 7.5 which has just been released in the last few months."

    All I could find at that time were the 4 documents in the Related Articles section of the RD HotFix T/N (which I got to via the Release Notes one!) with the one I quoted being the most relevant in that instance.

    Your right, that post is very similar to mine and it appears they are having the same issue I'm facing.  Lack of instruction.    Thanks for the link thought.  i will play around with it.

    Replication Director does enable management and recovery of array based snapshots and replicated snapshots of NetApp.

    Symantec NetBackup Replication Director requires NetBackup 7.5.0.1 and the NetApp Plug-in for Symantec NetBackup.  There are definitely specific configuration and setup requirements. You will also need to make sure you have the correct license key.


    NetApp introduced support with:
    Data ONTAP 7.3.6
    OnCommand Core Package 5.0
    And the NetApp plug-in for Symantec NetBackup (ithis is installed on the OnCommand Server)

     A good reference for information is the Replication Director Digest:
