Netbackup 7.6.1 failed to remove trusted master server

Dear fellows,

We are still using a legacy Netbackup version 7.6 in Windows server. Recently we noticed failure of SLP replication to remote server. We did some research and tried to re-setup the trusted relationship between the two master servers. But with no luck. error message is below.

I got a password error message if I use a wrong password. And the two servers have the same version.

Did someone experience the same? and can share some thoughts. Thanks

  • Yes. I saw it. But it was in Linux.

The network communication should be ok as I got the password error prompted.

I did find credential expired in C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\var\VxSS\credentials

It was expired 8 years ago and did not impact the SLP for many years.

The bptestbpcd test results on both servers suggest authorization problem of primary server as logs shown. Host A is not an authorized server for host B.
