  • Several months ago our customer faced the same problem, but they were running SQL 2000.
Maybe you need to ask Microsoft for the latest patches for your SQL Server (this problem is out of NBU scope)

Here is technote with the same evidence

3rd PARTY: When restoring a Microsoft SQL server database using the Veritas NetBackup (tm) SQL Server agent, the restore finishes successfully, but the recovery of the database fails, and the database appears as "Suspect" in the SQL Enterprise Manager.

  • I'll appreciate if you share the reason of this problem with us once you'll have it sorted out
  • Actually mouse i tried to restore the backup image in the morning again and it successfully restored. what i have come to know that the .LDF file of SQL might/Must be grown enough thats why it was doing problem.
  • In the client side View Status i faced this problem as well. is this also related to my previous problem which i have posted earlier ???
Note:- the backup restored successfully but still getting the below error
<2> operations succeeded. <0> operations failed.

  • There are no any failed operations in this log. What is your question about?
  • in the last line

<2> operations succeeded. <0> operations failed.

what does it mean     <2> operations succeeded.  ????

Thanks for your kind reply Mouse
  • This is quite simple
You have two operations in the batch - first is a retrieval of a database from the backup and second is a recovery. So, both operations were sucessful, that is what this string means
