NetBackup Advanced Report "No Data Found"

All,

The daily emails that we send out from the NBAR are not showing any data.  This is for both the Consolidated Error log and the Site Details emails.  I have stopped and restarted nbar on the master server and have also ran "/opt/VRTSnbaro/bin/goodies/table_check.sh check", which returned no errors.  I have been trying to find info on the "ardbstop" and the "arloader" files that are located in /usr/openv/nbar/bin but haven't found anything.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do other than rebooting the master server?  Thank you for your help!
  • I stopped and restarted NBAR on both of our master servers and the reports ran fine the next morning.
  • I did find the following in the arloader log file:

07:05:01 <1> Helplink=0: AUTH: Unable to initialize libraries. Please check your installation.
07:05:01 <1> Helplink=0: AUTH: Failed to load required shared library. Please check your installation.
    07:05:01 <2> Helplink=52: INFO: NBU version is 5.1

  • DISCLAIMER: I haven't worked an NBAR case in probably three years ;-)

I'm assuming you've already stopped and restarted NBAR...

    # /usr/openv/nbar/bin/nbar stop
    # /usr/openv/nbar/bin/nbar start

    When you run
    #bpps -r

...do you get four running processes?

Has anything changed recently?  /usr/openv/nbar or /opt/VRTSnbaro or one of the subdirectories?  Maybe a symbolic link was broken?  Perhaps permissions or owner were changed?  Anything with a recent timestamp on it that looks suspicious?  Any full partitions on the server mucking things up?

What maintenance pack rev are we talking?

Those logs you quote above show up all the time whether NBAR's working or not, so they won't help us here.
