Netbackup and AIX firewall issue

Hi Guys,

  I am trying to do a restore which is failing due to 24 connection time out. What i investigated is the the bpclntcmd -pn doesn't works from the AIX client(7.1)

and unable to telnet as well from client to master and vice versa is also not happening. They are able to telnet localhost at bpcd. Now the backups are running on backup ip of client and media server which is running fine. But in the case of restore the production ip of the master comes into the picture. which might be behind firewall. What my guess is that the firewall is not allowing the telnet from client to master or vice versa.

 

Could someone give me concrete info about how to check firewall status in an AIX box(command) and how to exclude the PBX, bpcd and vnetd ports under that firewall.
