NetBackup backup status partially successful

Well you added this to the appliance forum, but seems to be for just NetBackup in general and haven't told us what type of backup this is.

Even then, the mention of NFS means that this is a type of granular backup and a quick search of the error would lead to something like:

Which is a very specific issue.

 

More likey NFS was not configured correctly to work with the GRT backup.

I have moved this discussion to NetBackup forum. Please always give as much as possible info about the environment, type of backup, NBU version, OS and Database/Application versions, etc.

Master Server/Media = NetBackup Appliance 2.6.1.1

This server is vmware
windows 2008 R2 std 64bit
as details include on this server
1. Active Directory
2. DNS
3. Fileshare
drive partition details
- drive C: Type :Basic disk
- Drive D: Type :Dynamic disk  > File Share
- Drive E: Type :Basic disk
- Drive F: Type :Basic disk
- Drive G: Type :Basic disk
- Drive Z: Type :Map drive from another site
policy type = ms-windows
backup selection= drive D,E,F,G

but this server install netbackup agent because before error partially sucessful ,
It has error backup failed error unexpected termination of clienct, media terminated by parent process, client process aborted(50)

I thought you had " (Job backup status : partially succesful (1)) 12/26/2015 21:04:25 - Error bpbrm (pid=162039) from client 10.0.0.0: ERR - Client for NFS service is either not installed or not running." Instead this is a status 50? Check if bpbkar is faulting in your event viewer.

I believe now you are trying ot backup using MS-Windows policy type

 

Check the registry if path is present ... if not add the correct path and try

Please share the policy config for this client. On master : bppllist ( policy-name ) -L (Can we assume that you know how to get to command line on the Appliance master?) If this is MS-Windows policy and you want GRT backup for Active Directory, then please follow the steps in NBU Admin Guide 1.

For the this case, I separate 2 policies

1. Backup type = vmware

-- > backup vmdk only

2. Backup type = ms-windows

It must be installed agent.

-- > backup GRT
