Netbackup can not startup

Hi All,

I have problem with our NBU 7.0.1 master server. The NBDB (netbackup database) was shutdown due to not disk space on filesystem. After cleanup filesystem and got enough space, I want to start it up, but it hang:

bash-3.00# /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bp.start_all
Starting vnetd...
Starting bpcd...
Starting nbftclnt...

(no response after last line)

First I stop the Netbackup by bp.kill_all, it succeded. Then I tried bp.start_all, it looked like got hang. When I tried to run jnbSA, its like not responding too after log in. I'm not sure what the problem is. So,please can anyone help me with this situation?

Thank you very much.

  • sheriff, you didn't post what I asked for.

As for what you did post, you shouldn't have 3 database processess running, only 1 should be running.

    Stop NetBackup and restart it.
